The mission of Bay Area Startup Network (BASN)is to help San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California startup companies in technology, health care, life sciences and other fields raise funds andgrow successful companies. We do that by facilitating the networking between early-stage startups and venture capital providers such as angel group members, private angel equity investors, and early stage venture capital companies. Our startup company members typically are raising seed and series A funds, sometimesseries B and C capital.Although our members benefit fromourties with a number of formal Silicon Valley venture firms and Bay Area angel groups, BASN, as a non-profit organization whose sole goal is to facilitate the networking between startup companies and private and institutional investors, does not invest directly in startup companies. |
